NV GEBE experiencing challenges from rough seas in Cay Bay. Several Power Outages were Reported

– The NV GEBE Power Plant at Cay Bay is being impacted by rough seas on the south coast of the country.

This impact resulted in two small engines facing what NV GEBE described as “operational issues.” This resulted in a temporary power outage for Cole Bay, Saunders, parts of the L.B. Scott Road, parts of Cay Hill, and parts of Bush Road.

The power outage NV GEBE said could last approximately 45 minutes.

A technical team worked to resolve the issue and the aforementioned areas have been re-energized
