The shooting suspect who murdered Marlin, has escaped from police and fled island
The male suspect in the shooting of James Marlin who passed away on Tuesday at the St. Maarten Medical Center has fled the island since Monday.
Evidently, he left the island via the French side, as the police were trying to get witnesses to the incident and trying to find out what happened and who were involved.
Mr Marlin was shot in the face, and although CPR was performed, yesterday came the news that he had expired.
Police Spokesman Joe Josepha said on Tuesday that the police managed to secure intelligence from someone that was present during the shooting early Monday morning at the Kim Sha beach where a pre-carnival event was held.
Josepha said that police are not able to release more information on the identity of the shooter but admitted that police know where the shooter fled to, and they are busy trying to get the shooter extradited back to St. Maarten.
