The four had been part of the organization since 2015, which is known for drug crime, violent crime and money laundering.

In 2013, members of the gang murdered popular Curaçao politician Helmin Wiels.

The four members who have now been convicted were not yet part of the criminal group, but one of them is, according to the judge,

involved in, among other things, provoking an assassination attempt on the French part of Sint Maarten.

The other statements were about Charlton L. (50), Stephanie P. (37) and Adrian E. (35).

They were sentenced to eight years, six years and 21 months, respectively, for involvement in drug trafficking and money laundering.

Charlton L. is said to have managed the proceeds of the drug trade and bought real estate in Curaçao from it. He is seen as the financial man of the No Limit Soldiers.

Dutch criminal investigations

The evidence against the suspects largely consists of so-called PGP conversations that came to light during Dutch criminal investigations. PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy. It is a common method of communicating securely, scrambling messages so that they are only readable by people with a certain encryption key.
