The plenary debate on the bill for a Kingdom Act will take place on 1 June
Kingdom disputes (35099 (R2114)) on the agenda of your House. In the
recent days, however, it became apparent that within the States of Aruba, Curaçao and
Sint Maarten has no support for this proposal. Considering this situation
I request you, also on behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister of General Affairs,
to postpone consideration of the proposal to hold the Reich Council of Ministers in the
to give the opportunity to consider the situation that has arisen.

Handling Kingdom Disputes Act has been held over

On 28 May 2021, the President of the Senate received a letter from State Secretary of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Knops , asking the House to postpone the plenary debate on the proposal for the Kingdom Disputes Act (35099 (R2114)). This debate was scheduled for Tuesday 1 June 2021. After consultation with the standing committee for Kingdom Relations , the Chairman has decided to comply with this written request from the State Secretary.

In the letter, the State Secretary, also on behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister of General Affairs, indicated that in recent days it has become apparent that within the Parliament of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten there is no support for the bill of law and that, in view of this situation, it is desirable to give the Reich Council of Ministers the opportunity to consider this.

Op 1 juni a.s. staat de plenaire behandeling van het voorstel van Rijkswet
Koninkrijksgeschillen (35099 (R2114)) op de agenda van uw Kamer. In de
afgelopen dagen is echter gebleken dat binnen de Staten van Aruba, Curaçao en
Sint Maarten geen steun voor dit voorstel aanwezig is. Gelet op deze situatie
verzoek ik u, mede namens de Minister-President, minister van Algemene Zaken,
de behandeling van het voorstel aan te houden om de Rijksministerraad in de
gelegenheid te stellen zich te beraden op de ontstane situatie.
