In accordance with the President’s decrees authorizing the removal of end-of-life vehicles on public roads, the Territorial Police had 58 wrecks removed between July 20 and 30.

♻️ The objective of this action is to clean up the public domain as part of the cleaning campaign launched on July 8,

but also to secure the territory before the peak of the hurricane season which begins in mid-August.

Some of the end-of-life vehicles (VHU) were removed from a plot of land belonging to the Collectivity, adjacent to Grand Case airport. A control is being organized for the occupation without right or title of said land.

From a general point of view, the territorial police carried out the removal of end-of-life vehicles in the Concordia, Marigot, Saint James, Agrément and Galisbay sectors.

♻️ This action will continue for the next few days in the areas of Friar’s Bay, Colombier, Rambaud, Grand Case and Cul de Sac. A similar operation is also scheduled in Quartier Orléans the following week.

Once removed from the public domain, the end-of-life vehicle is sent to the Grandes Cayes ecosite to be dismantled and recycled. The Collectivity’s securities department is responsible for removing the vehicle from circulation by destroying the registration numbers.

🔹 At the request of President Louis MUSSINGTON, the Collectivity of Saint-Martin continues its actions of cleaning and beautification of the territory to secure the population before the peak of the hurricane season but also to prepare the tourist season which begins in November December.

La Police territoriale fait enlever 58 épaves de voiture abandonnées sur le domaine public !

Conformément aux arrêtés du président autorisant l’enlèvement des véhicules hors usage sur la voie publique, la Police Territoriale a fait procéder à l’enlèvement de 58 épaves, entre le 20 et le 30 juillet.

♻️L’objectif de cette action est de nettoyer le domaine public dans le cadre de la campagne de nettoyage lancée le 8 juillet dernier, mais aussi de sécuriser le territoire avant le pic de la saison cyclonique qui débute à la mi-août.

Une partie des véhicules hors d’usage (VHU) a été enlevée sur une parcelle de terrain appartenant à la Collectivité, jouxtant l’aéroport de Grand Case. Un contrôle est en cours d’organisation pour l’occupation sans droit ni titre dudit terrain.

D’un point de vue général, la police territoriale a fait procéder à l’enlèvement de véhicules hors d’usage dans les secteurs de Concordia, Marigot, Saint James, Agrément ou encore Galisbay.

♻️Cette action se poursuivra ces prochains jours dans les secteurs de Friar’s Bay, Colombier, Rambaud, Grand Case et Cul de Sac. Une opération similaire est aussi programmée à Quartier Orléans la semaine suivante.

Une fois enlevé du domaine public, le véhicule hors d’usage est envoyé à l’écosite de Grandes Cayes pour y être démantelé et recyclé. Le service des titres de la Collectivité se charge de retirer le véhicule de la circulation en détruisant les numéros d’immatriculation.
